Victoria,B.C. is our "Neighbor to the North." This capital of British Columbia famous for her beauty is only an hour's ferry ride away on the "Victoria Express," a walk-on ferry, or about an hour and a half on the "Coho," a a walk-on or drive-on ferry. Both ferries depart from Port Angeles. Convenient schedules permit a shopping or site-seeing day from the Peninsula to this jewel of British Columbia. (Don't forget your passport!) For residents of Washington, it is really great to have the very inexpensive annual pass to Butchart Gardens. Believe me. When you move here and all your visitors start to arrive, it will probably be on their "A" list of things to do. High Tea at the Empress is always a delight. And, depending upon the exchange rate, shopping in Victoria can be a great experience. Regardless, the beauty of the harbor and friendly people is something unforgetable by visitors and residents of the Olympic Penisula alike! Perhaps we feel compelled to add it to our "Communities" since we can look out across the water on one of our many clear days and nights and see the City of Victoria.
